This gathering brought together teams from HB Software, EQ Group, and Exsion365 at a beach pavilion in Scheveningen for a day filled with knowledge sharing and practical AI applications.
Knowledge Sharing by the Coast
The day kicked off with three presentations covering various AI applications. Topics ranged from utilizing AI agents in daily operations to integrating AI with Business Central. A particularly interesting subject was Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), a technique that allows AI to generate more accurate answers using a company’s own documents. Additionally, the use of AI in programming was discussed, focusing on enhancing developer productivity through scripts and AL programming.
From Theory to Practice: Hands-on AI
After a refreshing beach walk, participants engaged in an informal hackathon setting, working on concrete AI projects. Small teams experimented with new insights, leading to surprising -and sometimes humorous- results. One nice example was an AI agent that automatically identified sunny locations and provided links to nearby beach bars with the best prices and available sunbeds. Although it started quite funny, it clearly illustrated AI’s potential to execute complex tasks by combining various data sources.
The human touch
Beyond technical aspects, discussions also highlighted the human side of AI. Conversations focused on customer readiness to embrace AI and its impact on roles within organizations. Implementing AI can lead to changes in job profiles, which may feel exciting or even threatening to some employees.
